“Timber and Nails,” by the Marksmen Quartet, a single from Rural Rhythm Records, made its debut appearance at #16 on the Bluegrass Now charts in March. “We are excited about how radio is receiving this touching song,” said Earle Wheeler, quartet leader. I remember it like it was yesterday. We were riding down the road in a big ole 98 Oldsmobile that was probably getting 5 gallons to the mile and it was Saturday morning just before Easter Sunday and I was at my grandparents. I think I was around 8 or 9 years old.
